We Were Golden (Voltron boyxboy)

A Voltron Legendary Defender fanfiction~
Pairing: Shiro x Keith / Sheith
*** I actually hate my writing in this story but I'll keep it here anyways***
Keith, stricken with a fever, is forced to stay in the castle while the rest of the team ventures down to an allied planet to promote Voltron; except for Shiro, who doesn't like the idea of a helpless Keith staying there all alone.

Shiro and Keith had grown distance recently, both focusing on their own work. Keith knows they once shared a special bond, but is frightened to even mention the way him and Shiro have become. As the sickness passes, and the teams two day mission turns into a four day one, Shiro becomes frustrated with him and Keith's distance, unnerved to a point of confrontation.

Keith is more helpless than Shiro had even realized as a once burned out Golden sun shines light onto both the boys conflicting feelings.
Who will break first?

"Keith..."
"I feel so pent up."
"You always were the angry type." Shiro's mouth met with Keith's head, kissing his black hair.
"And I've been so patient lately, trying to focus... like you told me."
"Keith, you don't have to explain yourself to me. I know you better than you think." Shiro walked around to face him. "I want to show you something." He walked away, not needing to check if Keith was following.
"This is where I come to think, mostly about you." Shiro unlocked the door that led into a room made mostly of windows. Outside the windows was the star that graced the solar system they were in; a star made of apparent gold. The room and everything in it was cast with a golden glow.//
