When he dared to fall in love his father went as far as to make her walk off the plank, forcing him to watch her drown. Just to show that pirates do not love. They plunder, pilfer and conquer terrible deeds. Sleeping with women, never looking back, never loving.
He decided he'd get back at his father by becoming the most feared of all. He'd then take everything his father had and turn it in to the way he wanted.
