"I want something new. I want something that will make me enjoy life, even on the darkest of days. I want to be able to live, laugh, and love, as cliche as that sounds. Why can't I find something worthwhile?" Jaine Bolden, a freshman in high school, is looking for something. The young, energetic soul is excited to start the next four years of her life. She has not paid attention to the warnings everyone has given her about her next four years and how they could be horrible. Jaine has only good thoughts about the upcoming school. But when her soft, fairytale-like dream of high school gets crushed by reality, she's left with nothing but ruined expectations. What she needs is something worthwhile. Lucky for her, a sophomore who's got a bad reputation has the perfect plan. If only he would stop getting into trouble.

"I'm so sorry, Casey," he said, pleading for my forgiveness. I'd been avoiding his intense gaze for the entirety of the conversation, but I looked into his eyes as I said: "I just want to know; why me?" ---------- Casey Hall is a simple girl, leading a complicated life and it only gets worse when she encounters Jeremy Storm and his elite group of friends. Each attractive, athletic, and... well, attractive, it's impossible for Casey to keep their lives separate. Once Casey learns that the driving factor for their friendship was a childish bet she finds herself incredibly hurt, but is it enough to pull her away from the one she loves? **probably not the ending you're expecting- If you want some sappy optimism you should find another book**
