Set Free

Emancipation: to be set free without the need for guardians. A critical need for fourteen-year-old Sana who can no longer safely live in the house that she was supposed to be able to call her own. After the passing of her biological mother and newborn brother Cyrus, Sana's stepmother Martha has made it impossible to stay. By strong will and the help of only herself, she is set free by the state of California.

With nowhere to turn and no one to turn to Sana meets a fifteen-year-old boy at a local diner who shares her struggles along with new ones. Through him and friends they meet along the way she finds life worth struggling for again. With every new chapter in her life comes a whirlwind of drama. From love, lust, fighting, jealousy, anger, and breaking many laws along the way, will Sana learn to embrace her new life and accept that not everything ends in freedom?
