In a world where superpowers can only be obtained by an illegal and dangerous serum, people with these powers are scarce, and children are experimented on to test said powers, a group of ten people - powerless and not, heroic and villainous - team up to stop a power hungry force growing in their city.
There's only one problem: they all hate each other.
They've been fighting against one another for years. And teamwork is not something any of them have powers for.
The only reason villains and heroes would team up with each other is because their city is in danger. And, as it turns out, their city is in danger. Major danger.
But sometimes things turn out different than expected. Sometimes your enemies end up being your only allies. Even if you despise them. Even if they're still upset over the time you broke their back. Or threw them into a trash can. Or hurtled them into a building. Or hypnotized them.
Or just tried to kill them in general.
It'll turn out great. Definitely.

On Twitter I made yet again another au. Each person who participated in this made characters for the story, either based off their personas or made completely new (I'm pretty sure all of them are completely new? I'm not 100% on that though).
Characters and Their Owners (these are all their Twitter @s):
Weston, Tucker, Cyril, Kent - (me) @FandomScribbler
Nathan, Todd - @nayomie_sloan
Jason - @TD_LEXcom
Bea - @Dawn_Colors
Jackie - @Fluffy_Bread
April - @MissNightRealms
Sam - @thundrstormy
Also, @TD_LEXcom named the districts of the city and drew a map of them all! It was incredibly helpful and does a lot for a story to have actual setting and stuff and you should give them all your uwus. Along with that, @Dawn_Colors helped me name the story so give them uwus as well!
And thank you to everyone who participated in this au or showed interest in it because I really had fun planning it! I was so glad to see people join in in this au and make such amazing characters!

An internal voice whispered, "Call him." But I chose not to. I dismissed it once more, saying, "He never liked me anyway." Yet the dilemma lingered. "But maybe he does. The way he looks at you... it's different." Out of nowhere, he glanced my way. My heartbeat quickened, sending shivers down my spine. I averted my gaze, pretending to look around. "Has he noticed me? It was gentle and soft, something I never expected from a guy like him. He moved his right hand from my cheek to my waist, tugging me against him, and molded our bodies together. A wave of electricity went down to my core when he licked my lips. "Open your mouth, Bella." His commanding husky voice against my lips jolted my heart, and I followed his order like a slave. With no control, a moan erupted from my throat as his tongue met mine. It was barely audible, but I knew he heard it when he smiled against my lips. He swept my hair from my face to my back and gathered them in his fist. He tugged my head back, deepening the kiss, and my heart thrashed in my chest. At that moment, I didn't need drugs to know what being high felt like because his lips were enough to send me on nine clouds. Just once and I was addicted to it. If this is how being kissed feels like, then fuck, I've wasted a lot of time. ~^~^~^~ FEATURED ON: @Romance (Romantic Suspense) HIGHEST RANKINGS: #1 Goodgirl, Darkpast #2 Badboy #5 NewaduComplete

{COMPLETED} "now that you've had your fun electrocuting me, would you care to hop in the backseat?" ---------------------------------------------------------- Freak DNA. That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. MASKED: Rise of the New Generation [Book One ReUploaded]
*REUPLOADED as the published version of the story* In a world full of super-powered individuals, comic books have become real life. Superheroes and villains have epic battles in the streets, aliens dash through the skies, and everyday people have their daily lives hindered due to collateral damage. That's just the norm that everyone has grown used to. It's a new age of young supers rising to the top, and New Elysium City is the epicenter for this new generation. The paths that they take will carefully carve out the fate of their metropolis they call home. Some may choose to be the very face of good and justice, while others may instead take a darker turn. And the rest? Well, they're perhaps just a bit disgruntled and tired. With a new hero team in the making, they all must overcome their own trials in order to work together successfully. Hopefully, they can do it in time to stop the new wave of villains as crime in New Elysium truly never ceases. But will they be able to properly balance their real lives with their secret identities? No Superheroes Allowed
Long ago a group of superheroes and villains worked together to prevent an invasion. But they managed to kill more people than they saved. Their destruction caused the perception of those with powers to dramatically shift; to the point of outcast. 50 years later crime has increased to the point where not even the police respond to calls. Few heroes went into hiding to 'play normal'; like my family and I. I live in New Haven City. I've been lucky enough that I don't have powers that attract too much attention --- Everything was going great. Everything was normal. Until Jamie was forced to confront the reality of her situation. The mayor who has been running the NSA was beginning to take drastic measures. Sending many supers off to another island. Stealing their powers. Forcing others to betray their own kind. The victims of these horrific acts are not taking that lightly. Why not make a team of heroes? A team that doesnt give a shit what the NSA or the Mayor has to say. A team of young teens who probably don't even listen to each other. That will save the world...Complete

(#1) Roommates by Day, Enemies by Night
WARNING: CONTAINING AMOUNTS OF SASS PREVIOUSLY UNKNOWN TO MANKIND In the city of NYC--- Ok. Hold up. First of all, New York City. What, are ya gonna assume everyone here knows what NYC is? Anyway, this is about two people. I can almost hear you rolling your eyes. Another cliché teen fiction with a bad boy and a good girl? Nope. This is about superheroes. I can still hear you rolling your eyes. Superheroes. Like in comic books? Like people with super speed and mutant powers? Yes. But this isn't about the fight they have. More about the lives they lead without the masks. But just keep in mind, people who live in the world have all different skin colours. Do not assume my characters are of one unless I state them explicitly. and diversity is welcome here in my novel! Anyhow, back to the story. Ever wonder where supervillains go after their fight with the hero? What about the other side of the story? It's not like they sit in their lair cackling all day and planning how to kidnap reporters. What about the lives they lead? And instead of just focusing on that, what if the superhero and the supervillain knew each other? I mean, can they see behind the mask? No, so their identities are secret. So what if the hero and villain were best friends? What if they were roommates? What if they were falling for each other? And what happens when they find out? Now, I assume you know all of these questions will be answered in this book. But hold on. It's going to take a while. You're in for a bumpy ride. And if any of you got any of the references in this description, give yourself a pat on the back. That is a beautiful thing. And if you can name all the references in this book, you truly are a gift to mankind. Fangirl out.Complete
