Will is a foreman on a construction site that is doing demolition and clean up of a neighborhood ravaged by fire. He finds a tarnished locket among the ruins of a house. He's not sure why but he feels compelled to try to find out more about it, and reconnect it to its owner.
I wrote this as part of a short story writing challenge. It's just a short, sweet story, but I had fun writing it, and I hope you enjoy it as well.
