Imagine your mother telling you that you come from a long line of Shadowhunters but when really your from a different family the same family that Tessa Gray was born into and then expecting a little bit to much of higher expectations for her children. But that also gives her children to marry who they want unless it's for redeeming your family's reputation and name for the Clave, a father leaving you behind so he and his wife can go on a perimeter patrol only to hear that the head of the family is now dead. Then following the Claves rules and living and being taken in by the Lightwood family, that's when I met Alec Lightwood the oldest of the 3 children.
