Since she was a little girl, there has always been someone there protecting her. He's been watching over her closely for years, and when she's finally of age, he meets her once again. With her having no recollection of any encounters with him, his chance comes to where he can be close to her. Gaining her trust, as she has gained his, the times comes in which he decides to leave, or keep on protecting his little damsel in distress.
