In an alternate Universe, Humans coexist with technology to create the era of superhumans. As Emmeline Nastern's birthday, she's getting her own implant. The result of her powers are unkown just as the impending start of the apocalypse.

Somewhere else in the world, an implant went awry and resulted in the start of a virus one that makes superhumans volatile but affects non-implanters differently. It turns them into the undead. This marks the end of the world as they know it as the majority of the population are those without implants.

Emmeline is going to have to survive this, but she can't do it by herself.

And Carisa only want to survive, to make it to the next day, bumping into an Alien she thought she'd be petrified. But upon further inspection... their not that much different that humans.
