Raeya is an 18 year old girl living in the small village of Runella in the country of Falan. The country of Falan is one of the few in the world to still be ruled by a royal family. Raeya herself is no stranger to the royal family. Her mother was once a part of the royal court until tragedy struck. Now Raeya's quiet peace has been disturbed with the arrival of several riders. Princess Caitir will be in town soon and Raeya has a choice to make. Leave behind the life she knows or join the royal family, the ones who ultimately lead to her mother's death.
