Rock Lee, the shinobi who can only perform taijutsu, instantly fell in love with Sakura Haruno the moment he saw her the first day of the Chunin Exams. Since that day, he wishes nothing more than for her to notice him and maybe even be his girlfriend.
Sakura doesn't know him well, so she feels nothing for Lee, at least, not until she sees him protecting her with his life on the line. That's when she begins to care for him, and maybe even start to feel something toward the young ninja...
Lee then gets into a tragic accident in the chunin exams, where he battles Gaara and loses his ability to be a shinobi. He becomes heartbroken and depressed at this, but Sakura takes the chance to be there for him and help him recover.
While doing so, that's where Sakura gets to truly know who Rock Lee is. ❤
