Hazel gasped as she whipped the flat of her spatha around the fat belly of a cyclops and pulled him towards her with surprising force. Golden ichor flowed out of his center as she kicked his back, forcing him into the sharpest point of the blade. The cyclopes roared as it dissolved into dust and returned to the depths of Tartarus.
Hazel grabbed at her stomach and stumbled backward, her knees buckling. Several injuries had weakened her significantly and she felt her spirit urging her to return to the fields of Aspho- No. She had a present issue to concentrate on -winning the Battle of Mount Othrys.
She felt a strong arm grab her from behind and lift her to her feet. Frank Zhang, smiled encouragingly and her heart melted. Starring into his dark eyes, she saw a green shape creeping up behind her and barely had time to duck before Frank shot a flaming arrow right over her into a slime-green dryad.
"Come on." He gripped her small dainty hand in his large, clammy one. Hazel felt a small shock at seeing her dark skin next to his pale skin before quickly remembering that that was acceptable now. Frank patted her on the back, "Reyna is about to give orders."
