Aria Violet never knew she would one day end up on the other side of the world because of a secret her family had kept since she was a young child.

Miss Pegerine met her upon arrival at Cairnholm, and since then she had been living in the lovely home and loop with the other children who took up space in the time of 1943.

Aria realised her peculiarity was being a siren and having the power of hair that changed with her emotions, which unlike some, she couldn't really control at will.

Most of the children were interested in her peculiarity but there was always one that had some other interest, and that one was the Scottish 117 year old known as Enoch O'Conner.
