Jasper wasn't used to the overwhelming silence he was greeted with when he woke up that day. Usually there was some sort of noise, be it the soft snores of his friends or the muffled cracks of wooden swords and hand-to-hand combat. Today is was just silence and a pounding headache.
And gods did he wish that it had stayed that way.
