Fourteen year old Ellie Crickett from upstate New York is a pretty girl with a lack of friends, nearing the end of her first year of high school. This doesn't work out, however, as two bodies of classmates have been discovered in a public bathroom of her school. Four FBI agents appear, talking about strange monsters and asking weird questions.

These agents begin to pop up wherever Ellie goes, and she is unsure if they are even real FBI agents. The case goes south and Ellie is left all alone with these agents and nowhere to go. What will Ellie do as she is surrounded by crazy people with several dead bodies behind her?
