First things first: I DO NOT support JKR or her views at all and I think it's disgusting how she treats people.
I have adopted this story from SilverScribe, so the first four chapters do belong to them. This is just my version of adding by onto to it. (Not copying anyone)
James and Lily Potter had two twin children. Harry and Ethan Potter. However, you would never know if you had visited them that there were in fact two. You wouldn't even know that little Harry existed at all.
On October 31, a terrible mistake had been made the second Dumbledore informed the potter's Ethan was the Boy-Who-Lived (incorrectly). Almost like a switch was flipped inside his parents heads. For the next 8 years it was always Ethan this or Ethan that. However when Harry turned 9, they snapped. Any lingering part of their existing personality had disappeared and they had become something horrible.
When Harry embarks on his quest to Hogwarts, they are in for the biggest shock of their lives. Will they finally realize how valuable harry is? Is it too late to make amends?...we all know that answer.

Sirius did something that he would never ever ever do, but he did it anyway. He broke Remus and his own heart, and as his world is slowly crumbling around him, he has to pick it all back up again single handed. Who Am I? (Discontinued)
So I am currently writing another story with the same main character but with more backstory and with longer chapters. And a slightly different main idea. If you are interested, it is called "The American Witch In A British World". I just posted the prologue and, in my opinion, that one is much better than this one and I have more of a storyline so it has a purpose and isn't just slightly random things that my mind comes up with. AU what if Harry has a twin who was adopted to a supposed muggle family in America? What if Harry isn't even a Potter? Travel through the discovery of how this all relates to my character, Sienna Foster, with her in this story. What will happen when sienna comes to Hogwarts and is surrounded by magic constantly? ⚠A few warnings I should mention.⚠ -Some parts may make you cry (I will put a warning at the beginning of the chapter) -Someone does die in a flashback (I'm sorry I know I am terrible at descriptions. Thinking he was the one who 'defeated' lord voldemort even through it was actually his younger twin Harrison james potter. That same night when alexander was declared the boy who lived , albus had suggested that harry be sent to lily's sister home in the muggle world so that harry doesn't grow angry and jealous of alexander's fame, at first james and lily were hesitant since they both know lily's sister hated anything to do with magic but after some gently coaxing from dumbledore, they finally agreed. Once lily and james agreed dumbledore left harry on the doorstep of the dursley's, when dumbledore left, harry started crying because of the cold but later at about two in the morning petuine found harry then brought him in but when she read the letter she was disgusted and angry. She woke vermon up and told him what had happened, vermon then felt the same way about harry before suggsting leaving somewhere so far, don't they don't have to deal with him, petuine agreed and gave vermon harry where he drove them to the airport to japan, once he landed he drove to the forest and just layed baby harry under a tree while it was snowing before leaving back to england. A few hours in the snowy grounds since it was deep into the mountions and forest, harry was found by the kamados who had took him in and even through they saw the letter, they didn't care like in fact they thought harry as a blessing and decided to raise him alongside their growing childern. There will be bashing of some characters through some will recive a time where they will change towards harry and ages will be changed so just a warning.
