After completing two years of service as regular infantry, First Sergeant Megan Bonti finally decides to request a transfer to be a part of the paratroops. She had just about had enough of her commanding officer underestimating her abilities and wanted something new. She had been one of the first qualified paratroops and thus decided to transfer to where her skills could be better used.

When she first arrives at Toccoa, she isn't quite sure what she's in for. The men seem welcoming enough but are quite a rowdy bunch. Despite being their new senior NCO, they quickly take her under their wing and she's very much like a sister to them, dubbing her 'Angel' or 'Angel Eyes'. This does not go unnoticed by a certain Lt. Nixon who finds himself wanting to know more about this woman.

What the governemnt and army officials kept quiet was that selected women, mostly women who were classed as intelligent, had been selected to train in different ares to assist on the frontlines. No word would get out to public as they knew it would be widely looked down upon, the women would train in private before being shipped out to where they would fight. Judith Moore was one of the selected women, along with three other women who she found to befriend through their training together as they trained to become paratroopers. Judith hoped to make a huge impact on the lives of those who fought in the war, hoping to be somewhat a light in their dark.

Hazel Parker, Catherine McCown and Elizabeth Elliot are placed into the 101st Airborne, the first 3 women to be apart of the Airborne. A few other women head off to the 82nd. These 3 women become part of the 506th and are put under 2nd Battalion, in Easy Company.
