Bailey has only had one person to look out for her after her parents died. Her best friend Emma had supported her in more ways than one, it wasn't just giving her a roof over her head. It was accepting her sexuality choices, pushing her to fuller potential and... oh yes, helping her control her powers.

A year ago, Bailey's files had been leaked when a Widow Assassin tries to unveil all of S.H.I.E.L.D's secrets, including those who worked for Hydra behind their backs. This story follows what comes from that, and how Bailey Baxter learns to become an Avenger.

Y/n is a young teenager who just recently moved to New York from Europe where she lived with friends. She's presumably an orphan, though she never knew for sure as she knows nothing about her family. Due to her intelligence many schools like Midtown-High offered her a spot in a class two years above her age and made a deal with her that she'd get everything that was necessary for going to their school and that she wouldn't need a guardian to sign stuff. In return, the school gets a better reputation by having a highly intelligent student joining it's classes. In NYC, she lives alone in an apartment as she can take care of herself. Also, she is very skilled in any kind of science. Physically, she can do much as well. After her first day at her new school, she wanted to text her new friend but read a 7 as a 1, resulting her to text an unknown number of someone quite famous. -Does she gain their trust and the other way around or is it the opposite? -Is she going to find out about her family? -Why did she choose exactly that school? '-> Was she planning something? Read to find out ;) This story differences from most wrong number stories and takes place in another universe where Pietro is still alive. Infinity War happened, but Thor killed Thanos before the mind stone could enter the gauntlet. Avengers Tower exists too. Btw sorry if I forgot to add any Avengers into the storyline. When new intel comes through about a Hydra weapon, the avengers split into two teams, one checking out a new base, while the other scours an old one. It's no coincidence that the intel comes through, and they find files about experiments done to one person. 'winter 2.0' the team calls her, but to Bucky, the fear sinks in as memories resurface about one soldier in particular, Ace. Stronger, deadlier and she made the winter soldier in him afraid. The work together to find out all they can, not realising that they are being watched by the very soldier herself. After an attack on the compound, which leaves quite a few of the team shaken, one avengr in particular is intrigued by the univited guest now residing in the holding cells. Who is the masked assailant, and why is it, she listened to him? **** The soldier begins to remember her past, fighting against all the Hydra conditioning, to remember who she was. Why does one of the men stand out? Who is he, and why does she have an overwhelming need to protect him? She knows Hydra will stop at nothing to get their soldiers back, but will she submit to Hydra or fight for right to live free?
