Scarlett Hughes had everything figured out.

     Past tense.

Ever since her beyond perfect boyfriend, Christopher Gosse, dumped her out of the blue, Scarlett's not so sure about what she wants. Except that she wants to win Christopher back, but why?

Her friends think it's all for superficial reasons, and they may be right. So, they push Scarlett to look past the surface of people, which leads her to Toby Capitani.

Toby's an emo loner who is the exact opposite of Christopher, and Scarlett and Toby can't stand each other. There's something that keeps drawing her into him, but Scarlett's pride won't let her admit it.

What's her obsession with being perfect all about, anyway? Maybe it's time for her to get back in touch with her parents to find out.

~Completed~ "Why are you being so shy?" He whispered. "I've seen, kissed, tasted every inch of your body. There is nothing to hide." I averted my eyes feeling heat in my cheeks and hoping that he could not feel it under his fingers. He made a frustrated noise then ducked down and pressed a kiss to the base of my jaw. The fingers previously on my cheek were now tilting my head back. "Scarlett Summer," he said into my ear, "sometimes you are the most infuriating person I have ever met." "I'm sorry." I whispered. "God, why are you apologizing? It is me who should be sorry for all of the unspeakable thoughts in my mind pertaining to you. You know I was not kidding when I said I was a dominating person. I know you've experienced it first-hand. I'm too rough with you I know that. You're just so, so breakable." He whispered the last part in my ear with so much behind it. "Sometimes I think I want to break you. Just shatter you into tiny pieces." His voice was shaky as he made his confession. "Do it then." I challenged with guile, devoid of self-preservation. ********************************************************************************* Scarlett has got some issues to say the least. She lives her life in her past and she is always waiting to die. There are a few things she enjoys, like her family, but even they are a compilation of bad memories and sore spots of her past. "You, uh, plan to go out like that?" Furrowing my eyebrows, I cast my gaze downwards, and that's when I remembered I had changed into pajamas after my date. My face heated up - it was embarrassing to unintentionally let Trevor see my pajama set that was, unfortunately, adorned with little cartoon sharks. "I..." I mumbled, my eyes still glued to the sharks swimming around the navy blue fabric, hoping that maybe, just maybe, one would swallow me whole right here and now. I was tense, the atmosphere was awkward, but Trevor, being the smooth player that he was, chuckled, and the mere joyful sound tickled my ears and brought the smile back to my face. "Go change," he said, nudging me to go back inside my house. "Alright, I'll just be a second." × × × 17-year-old smitten Morgan Darhk's world revolves around her best friend's brother, Archer Hastings. The only thing is, he doesn't know she exists - or at least that's what she tells herself and what HE tells HIMself. Morgan thinks she's the only one going through a limerence when it's FAR from the truth. Meet Addison Hastings, Trevor Parks, Chase Humphrey, Hanna Abrams, Eric Carter, and Killian Adler, all fellow victims of the unrelenting limerence. Swept up in a world of betrayals, drama, lies of omission, secrets, and most importantly, passion, these high schoolers go through the one thing everyone has experienced at least once in his or her life, as if a rite of passage: the unrequited love. As Morgan tries to find out what - or more importantly, WHO - she wants in life, she discovers a deeper sense in all this BS... ...that love - or at least limerence - blinds us all to see what's really been in front of us this whole time. × × × ~ Blinded by Limerence ~ 09/01/20 - 07/15/22

"I know that I can fuck up your whole life with one look. But I can't stop myself." ✰ ✰ ✰ Mia Rose McHenry tries her best to live her life under the radar, never having been one to enjoy the spotlight. For the most part, it's worked. All Mia wants is to make it through her senior year the same way she has all her life: by playing invisible. Enter Thorne Baxter, the town's infamous "bad" boy. With a killer smirk and a single wink, he manages to flip Mia's entire world upside down. And she doesn't entirely hate that. The unlikely duo couldn't be more different if they tried, yet that doesn't seem to stop the universe from pushing them together. What happens when the two's worlds collide, suddenly putting everything they thought they knew to the test? Will they manage to make things work, or were they simply better off before? [COMPLETE]
