On the outskirts of the city, there's a small impoverished town, the residents of which are all too familiar with the tougher side of life. Stanley Marsh, the son of an abusive father and drug addicted mother, struggles to overcome feelings that conflict with everything he's ever been taught. In an unexpected turn of events, Stan becomes the victim of a hit and run, his injuries, debilitating. His parents have vanished and his only support comes from a new friend named Kyle whose family recently moved in across the street. As they try to unravel the mystery, Stan opposes his emotions and negative internal dialog that's been ingrained in him since a young age. He finds difficulty in learning that self love, acceptance, friendship and inner strength are necessary building blocks to finding peace. ************************** "Kyle's heart was racing and he could barely steady his hands to call 911. He was kneeling over Stan, tears streaming down his face. The whole world had stopped and it felt like only this moment was all there would ever be again. The 911 operator told him not to move the victim or else he could risk further injury to him. The driver of the vehicle had sped off, it was a hit and run. Kyle scanned the area for someone, anyone who could help. There was no one. Stan's body lay crumpled and twisted in an unnatural position on the pavement. He was breathing, but barely." *************************** All credit for artwork goes to the original artists. Stan Marsh just moved to the town of South Park with his mom from North Carolina. He's walking into this with a negative mindset. Since he's suffering from depression and anxiety, he's thinking nothing can make him enjoy life. His world is turned upside down when he meets Kyle Broflovski, the boy who's openly gay. There's only one thing Stan thinks he's got in common with Kyle, sexuality. Stan didn't know life could feel this specific way until Kyle comes into his life out of the blue.
