Garrick Williams was born with a rare birth defect of the sex organs named ambiguous genitalia. With their parents being unclear about their child's sex, they called Garrick an it. And so did all of their class mates. They would constantly get beaten up and laughed at, but one day a transfer student from Germany moved into town. Garrick had just gotten beaten up, bloody nose and black eye, when Madelynn Patrick showed up. The German transfer student helped Garrick to the restroom and cleaned them up. They became best friends after that, and Madelynn would always stand up for Garrick. When they both turned 15, Madelynn disappeared in the middle of the school day. A rumor went around school that she was elbowed in the temple during gym, causing her brain to bleed. When Garrick went home, their parents told them that Madelynn was in the hospital. Her brain had been bleeding ever since she was born, that elbow to the temple made her have a stroke and pass away, right there in the middle of the gym floor. They had to tell Garrick the truth, Madelynn was dying for 15 years and finally she had left. But they couldn't tell him.
