"Building A Better Friendship" is book two in the trilogy.

Tessa's having a hard time coping with her new life. Stacey moved to Washington, Jessica is watching her every move and Matt won't leave her alone. All Matt does is pester her with pleadings about another chance.

Tessa doesn't have a car. She cant go anywhere without one, and her father refuses to buy her another one. She finally gives up and decides she will give Matt another chance BUT only as friends. Matt agrees to this and he's her ride the whole summer. Any time she needs or wants to go somewhere, they go together.

Jessica is pissed when she finds out. Her first reaction is to show everyone the photos and spill Tessa's secret. Tessa is ashamed and Matt, once again, helps her feel better about herself.

They build a better friendship, mending their broken hearts in the process.
