After summer ends, Dipper and Mabel go back to California. Everything seems fine until Dipper starts being bullied. He turns to the journal for advice, and accidentally summons Bill Cipher back into existence - into his body.

The God and the Thief
Cipher is the "God" of the forest around Gravity Falls and it's his job to protect it and it's creatures. He does his job well until two young twins wonder into him home. He watches them at first and lets them live. The boy seems much more interested in all the weird things in the forest than the girl but other than that they looked harmless. Till a few days later Bill finds he's missing his journal, where he logs all his creatures and their actions. Panicked and pissed he reaches his whole forest and the whole town. Making the people fear him and the forest. But he had no luck finding his journal. Years later the Pines twins come back to Gravity Falls, and Dipper brings his favorite book, a beaten old journal filled with fictional creatures and nonclinical notes. {{{THIS IS A SLOW BURN BOOK. (TW LIST DOWN BELOW) Just so y'all know, this takes place after the summer at Gravity Falls, though instead of both Dipper and Mabel going to Gravity Falls, only Mable went since Dipper wasn't allowed to. Also, the twins are a year younger when this takes place, so they are 11 going on 12 when Mabel goes to Gravity Falls and the whole Weirdmageddon thing happens. . Summer was over, and it was time to get back to school. Mabel, who just got back from their great uncles' place, is excited to show and tell her twin about all the cool stuff that happened, though she isn't suspecting to accidentally bring a certain yellow demon with her to California... After the episode "Sock Opera" where Mabel got possessed by Bill, the dream demon was able to teleport to her mind right before being destroyed, leaving him very weak but also very much alive. Also the barrier around Gravity Falls doesn't quite effect Bill anymore since he is now kinda bound to Mabel's mind and wherever she is, he is too.
