Mature
Charlotte Hannigan and Elliot McIntyre had been in love with each other since they were nine and had met during unlikely circumstances. Now it’s 1941 and they couldn’t be more in love. Between the swing dancing, Frank Sinatra, and their undeniable love for each other, Charlotte and Elliot’s lives couldn’t be better. That is until Elliot decides he has been given a duty to serve his country, and enlists in the air corps. Now Charlotte must live with the idea that the man she loves may never come home and is constantly reminded by her condescending “friend” Francine Monroe, what an idiot she was for falling in love with him.
Charlotte perseveres and she and Elliot keep in touch through letters and day dreams. The only problem is, Elliot’s best friend Donny Jacobs is hiding a secret that just may ruin the love that they have for each other. After Charlotte's father is suspected of murder and Donny's little girl goes missing, Donny threatens to share this devastating truth. Oh and lets not forget the day that changed history forever. Pearl Harbor. This threatens Elliot and Donny’s lives and causes untimely peril for hundreds of others, while Charlotte is waiting unaware, in anticipation. Find out if Charlotte and Elliot can hold on through the storm in my first novel, Life Happens-1941.

~Sorry if that was a little choppy. I'm not really one for writing summaries xP

edit (7/6/23): bro what is this story? plot execution sucks fr 😭 A hard-working widow, Charlotte Wormwood, lost her daughter in a tragic accident. 20 years later, she stumbles across a homeless girl who appeared to have the same birthmarks as her deceased daughter! She appeared to have knowledge of her daughter's past life! Charlotte tries to solve the mystery of her daughter's death and the peculiar girl. She gets trapped in a morbid time machine which travels her to 1945, the year on her daughter's death, to try to save her from the events. Could this all be a coincidence or just some weird hoax? ----------------------------------------------------------------- Everyone has there own secrets. Some are dark and morbid, even when everyone in your town talks about it. You swore to secrecy that they wouldn't tattle, but you sometimes can't trust them, even if something goes terribly wrong that the truth has to be uncovered.... Warning: contains violence in some scenes. I have no interest or intention in actually killing someone or something. This is just a book I like to write and criminal minds in the '40s-'60s got me thinking of writing my very first book (which is this one). Also, some sensitive topics include religion, so viewer discretion is advised. Enjoy reading this book. Thank you so much on reading this! I appreciate it! A/N: this is my first story ever. 🌚🌝 y'all this is my first story ever. pretty crap, if I do say so myself. so I apologize if the story and it's events is pretty confusing. It's super cringe and weird, because I made this a bit ago when I wasn't even a teen yet. ➪ started: 4/12/21 ➪ published: 4/14/21 ➪ finished: 10/11/21

I ask while highly aware that he's backed me up against my car. "Hmm..." He trails off as his arms rest on either side of my body. He steps closer until our lips are just a breath away and my heart starts to race in anticipation. "Your gorgeous eyes that take my breath away...your sweet smile that can bring me to my knees...your touch that drives me crazy -" "Theo..." I shake my head as a fierce blush heats my cheeks. He leans in and pulls me against him by my waist. I release a shaky breath when the need to kiss him becomes overwhelming. "I could go on forever darlin." Unable to help myself I press my lips to his. He groans huskily before tangling his fingers in my hair. I hesitantly bite down on his bottom lip before soothing the sting. His reaction is instant as he hoists me up onto his waist. My back hits my car door as I wrap my legs around his waist. "Get some brother!"
