The Unsinkable Friendship

(A Titanic-meets-Rhett and Link story!) Rhett, a lonely, poor farmer in Scotland hears of a better life in America, and buys himself a third class ticket aboard the prestigious Titanic ship to New York City.

Link, next in line for the throne of England, doesn't want to be king. He too hears of America, and buys himself a first class ticket aboard the Titanic and sneaks away on the boat, disguised as someone else so he won't be recognized.

Rhett and Link soon bump into each other on the boat after Link takes pity on Rhett and buys him some food after Rhett discovers he's scrapped for cash. The men become close friends after Rhett helps disguise Link, and Link in turn gives Rhett some money and better housing on the boat. The underlying conflict of the Titanic itself lurks, and when the ship goes down, who will survive?
