In the wake of a . . . No, no, no. That's not how this story goes. This isn't like your normal zombie apocalypse show or movie. This isn't something that could happen within a few seconds or even minutes. But could happen hours later. Hours after you wake up from a deep slumber. Hours after you finally decide to get out of the bath. When you get back home hours later from being away. Possibly, hours later after surgery. And that's exactly what had happened with Rachel Mackenzie.
Okay . . . Maybe it is like any other apocalyptic story, show or movie, but just because it happened after Rachel's surgery doesn't make it exactly like the others. Especially in the New York area and when some random guy happens to find and help her escape from the hospital even under the conditions she is in. Though that doesn't stop Rachel and her friend from getting away; only to soon realize that this guy is connected to more people outside of the United States.
From start to end, the two of them won't know what or who will come their way in a world of chaos. When things like this happen to ordinary people such as Rachel and her friend, other people around them can end up being good or bad. But how would they know who to trust or who to go to in times of need if they didn't have each other? Will everything be okay in the end or will it get worse from there?
