Oh, how wrong they were...
Their families have been holding a feud, unknown to anyone outside the families, for various centuries now and that isn't going to change anytime soon; at least, that's what they believe. The problem is that a bond as strong as Katniss' and Peeta's isn't one you simply give up. You do anything to preserve it. Even if that means keeping it hidden for more than a decade.

Diana is like Katniss and has her skills with a bow and arrow and hunting. She has her father's talent with a sword, painting, and baking. Finnick on the other hand is like his aunt Prim and grandmother. He likes to take care of people. The story starts with Diana as a seventeen-year-old on the day of the reaping of the 99th hunger games. The Mellarks have a track record for being in love with their district partner. Will it happen again with one of their kids. Also Katniss, Peeta and Haymitch don't have to be mentors. I don't own the characters of the original hunger games. President Snow doesn't want another rebellion so he sends Katniss and Peeta back into the games with other Victors from each district.
