"I've been... seeing things." Eddie's eyes immediately brightened, and he turned to look at you slowly. "What kind of things?" His face was stern, and you saw him swallow harshly. You gulped, trying to explain to him the imagery that appeared then disappeared almost immediately. "It's like... it started with my dads blood on my hands, and then just now I saw a grandfather clock-" "God damn it! Jesus H Christ!" He kicked over the garbage can you stood next to. You could see tears welling up behind his eyelashes. Why was he crying? "Just once." He pulled you into his chest, wrapping one arm around your waist and cradling the back of your head in his other. "Okay, okay. This is fine. We still have time to, uh..." he trailed off, removing his hand from your head to wipe his face. "We can fix this.
