Ok, so this takes place after X-men: Apocalypse, and that's the only Kurt I'm basing this off of. Mostly because that's the Kurt I like most, and that's the only Kurt I really know. I did do some research about Kurt's past though. Also I know this story is weird af. If you haven't realized that it's probably because I've only just started the story. Anyways.
Note: I'm also working on the other works Kurt appears in. X-men Evolution, here I come!
Mutants have been around for a while, living among normal humans. And like humans, most of them die. When Kurt Wagner dies unexpectedly in an accident, however, Jean Grey has a vision of catastrophic proportions, causing Charles Xavier to seek the help of a mutant with an interesting power: the ability to house and adapt to another soul. The only problem? Y/N doesn't know she's a mutant yet, and is very unwilling to become one.

A Slight Obsession
People often say things happen due to fate or destiny, others say it's just coincidence, while some claim it's due to someone, or something, causing it to happen. Until recently, Y/N just lived their life peacefully, moving every so often due to their parents work. They tried not to get attached to anyone so they wouldn't end up hurt, or hurting someone else once they move again. After meeting certain people though, will they have to move so often? Anyways, I'm not 100% sure where I'm going with this story but eh. The updates will be extremely random, hope you're all are okay with that. I'm mostly going to go around the main storyline with... slight changes? I just hope I don't make it anymore confusing than it already is. QUICK NOTE PLEASE READ L will be slightly aged down, I don't feel comfortable writing Y/N as an 18 year old and L as a 24-25 year old with romantic feelings for said 18 year old. L will instead be 20 since that would work out better for the story. Near will not be a love interest, he will be more of a younger brother figure, and Mello will have more of an admiration for Y/N, like a kid crushing on a celebrity sorta thing. I'm gonna try and make this sorta slowburny, but with my writing style, I'm sure that won't be an issue. I'm also gonna try to keep this as gender neutral as possible, so please let me know if I've accidentally used the wrong pronouns or something throughout the story!! Unlike his peers, Kurt's obvious physical mutation was something he was both praised and tormented for. His past is riddled with suffering, but what happens when events force him to reveal himself and tell his story to his friends in order for them to help him heal. Do they understand what it really means to be considered a monster? (I really enjoyed the show Xmen Evolution, but I think there was a missed opportunity for them to delve into Nightcrawler's backstory. This is a slightly darker tone than the show, but how I would go about his origin. (Wolverine's daughter fanfic) Alone in a mall parking lot, a seven year old girl catches her breath from running from her home as a special ops team had just tried to take her away. Her mother told her to run as she protected her, risking her life as she did so. As the little girl wandered the city, she stumbles across a man known as Michael Stryker. After years with Stryker and her memory of everything before she met him erased, she manages to escape, in the process-she comes across the X-Men and a mutant who shares more than just a similar mutation.
