When fifteen year old, Zoey Brooks, moves from the city to the countryside, she has to learn how to fit in before she becomes the country's first outsider. With the help of her more adaptable younger sister, Clara, Zoey embarks on a journey to change who she is and fit in. She will no longer be the fine arts loving, self-centered, selfish brat she was when she first arrived at the countryside.
Her family is pushing her to help around the farm, but with hardly any experience on chores, she struggles to even fit in amongst those she feels like she should fit in with. Zoey learns the hard way that her glamourous lifestyle from back in the city has ended and she's going to have to pitch in to continue having the few luxuries she's able to have out in the country. Not only that, but her fear of large animals has to end so she can jump in on the chores and go to the school that is tied in with equestrian riding. Let's see how far Zoey can go before everything breaks down in front of her.
