Over the years humans have grown to kill what they don't understand. Not because they fear the unknown but because they simply don't want to know.
One strange human though knew. Born with strange black markings on her skin, she found it easier to deal with the cold blooded creatures that lurked in the unknown than it was to deal with other humans.
