"I want a church wedding."

"You want a church wedding?" He seethed. "Are you also open to consummating this holy matrimony?" Her eyes shot up to meet his. Her heartbeat could be heard in the quiet room after the true meaning of what he was asking, settled in.

"Believe me, Em, if I take you to that altar, it will be to honor every last vow I take." His eyes travelled briefly to the erratic rise and fall of her chest. "Now tell me, Em..." fixing his gaze back on hers, he asked, his voice low, "Are you willing to share my bed?"

The wedding was nothing more than a battlefield dressed in gold. She wore the silk he chose, stood beneath the vows she didn't mean, and let the cameras capture a story that wasn't hers. Beside her stood the man she had sworn to hate-the rival who had stolen victories, the enemy who now carried her name on his tongue as if it was already his to own. His hand closed over hers, steady and unyielding, the perfect mask for the crowd. But beneath that grip was a challenge, a warning, a fire. She should have pulled away. She didn't. Because hatred was simple. Hatred she understood. But the pulse that quickened under his gaze, the shiver that betrayed her when he leaned close-that was the real danger. This marriage wasn't love. It wasn't peace. It was war wrapped in silk. (Aditya X Nikhat) They were friends once-laughing at inside jokes, sharing secrets only they understood. She trusted him. He trusted her. Then came the arrangement. Fake dating, they called it-a harmless lie to fool everyone else. But pretending brought them too close, stirred emotions neither were ready to admit. And when it ended, it ended hard. Pretend partners became strangers overnight. The laughter disappeared. The trust vanished. Time didn't heal it. It sharpened it. They became rivals, measuring each other in every glance, every word, every challenge. And yet, beneath the tension, beneath the rivalry, something familiar lingered... something dangerous. Because some bonds, even when broken, refuse to stay dead. (Vihaan X Naira) Tropes: Billionaire romance Rivalry Forced marriage Marriage of convenience Second chance Age gap Enemies to lovers Fake dating to lovers Suspense thriller

(COMPLETED) He's everything she hates. A rich, arrogant, cocky playboy. She should be repulsed by him, but from the first moment she met him face to face, her heart of ice ineluctably set on fire. He had one mission. Something he had struggled for his entire life. Something that he was so determined to do, he once believed there nothing that could stand in his way. He should have known better. Nothing that you long desperately enough for comes without a price. But what price do you have to pay when you start to spend a little too much time around the one you were born to despise. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I don't have anything to bribe you with, only my own words. Tell me, how will you ever be free if you do not take a risk every once in a while?" "I take risks." "You may take risks that give you freedom from your life, but I have a feeling this risk is a little different on many levels, correct me if I'm wrong." I began to think, did one single day really matter? Maybe it would help, maybe it was all I needed to stop thinking about him. "Make the most of it as it will both the first and the last time you are taking me to lunch, let alone ever seeing me again."
