"It's a week now" David heard as he sat down on the seat. It's been a week since David transferred to the university. He stayed at the dorm most of the time with his roommates. The sound of people entering the hall made David turn back. The change in the atmosphere was obvious to everyone including David. It was obvious that the four that walked were the cause of the change in the atmosphere. A conversation at his back brought his attention back to class. The tension was clear to other student but to also David who was new. Three guys and a girl moved down the row to take their seats. A sound brought David out of his thoughts. The girl dropped her bag on an empty seat beside her making him realise the seat was off limits. "Told you she wouldn't show up" A student had said. Making David wonder who they were talking about. It was clear that said girl was part of the group but hasn't been at the uni in a while. "Heard she'd be at school tomorrow, most times she goes MIA for a week then comes back more ... You get it" David didn't know what came over him, but the next thing he knew, he was already asking... "Sorry, who are you talking about?" The words were out before he could take them back. "Greer". The two replied monotonously.
