Sophie goes to London to live with her sister Ali and her boyfriend Dale. Ali had run away to London only five years ago to be a fashion designer which is where Sophie got the idea. On Sophie's first day in London Ali brings Sophie to her favourite coffee shop, the Glass Slipper. Sitting in this coffee shop Sophie feels like she is living in her own Cinderella story, she has gone from the bottom and made it to the top. Instead of rags to riches, she was trapped and now she is free. Not only is Sophie determined to start a new life, she wants to own her own business thinking that this is the best way of fully breaking free. However, she is constantly wanting praise from people around her, she is a perfectionist and worries when things aren't going so perfectly. Sophie is young with a vast imagination but she is naïve and has no confidence in herself. That is until a handsome young man comes along and boosts that confidence, makes her believe in herself. He brings her to extravagant events, shows the best sides to London, what it means to fully live in London, and he gives her the fairy tale adventure she'd been dreaming of. But from the influence of her strong feminist Aunt she is determined not to depend on the opinions of some man and is in constant battle with her mind, she could never do what her mother would want again. Through a lot of hard work Will manages to get through to Sophie, unfortunately, it seems it's at the wrong time. He lifted her up, but would he also be her ultimate downfall?
