A Kai x reader tale: 
A serial killer runs loose in Ninjago. Citizens are terrified. People are dropping like flies and yet no answers as to who the killer may be. Fear is the new trend. 

Kai Smith comes face to face with this killer. Almost losing the battle he manages to stumbles upon a door; a mystery girl takes quick action and saves his life. Although when he is awaken in the hospital, his savior slips through the seams. 

WARNING: Some scenes/events might be too graphic for those young ones. I'll try to keep the gore not too intense. Read at your own risk.

It's a wonderful day in Jamanakai city. Kai's plans for the day are to deliver a sword, get the loaded payment, buy necessities and potatoes to bake, go home, and take a rest. The last two have scratched off however, and it's all courtesy to this guy he comes across too; he's really tall, busting with muscles, owns a pretty pair of big eyes with green irises, and wears a damn charming smile. Everything goes upside down after that. Suddenly, before the gods could spare a blink, Kai is aboard a pirate ship with people he least expected to be with. Kai makes terrible plans, but this trip has got to be the worst yet as he literally fights for his life against one or two fellow mythical creatures. He's also fighting for his troubling heart, as the same guy who ruined his life never fails to skyrocket his heart rate through the sky, and churn his stomach like a towel being twisted into a rope. The first day they met was already stressful, let alone the following ones. But when other forces above the assassin makes their move, everything just get ten times more complicated for the ninja and Kai. Most stories have happy endings with love and peace.
