Ashlyn was always looked down upon because of her one gold eye and her secret powers. one of her powers were Ashlyn noticed names glowed when she saw them and it showed their soul mate. After helping out her friends with relationships in highschool Ashlyn soon realized she might not find anyone.
When she went to Egypt with her archeology class though she was stunned to see a name glow in a pitch black tomb with her as the soul mate. Getting closer she saw the name was no other than the famous god, Anubis. But that wasn't all, a full out war was brewing and she was needed to help save the world

I felt someone staring hard at me, I started looking around the crowd and everyone is staring at me, but this is different. I saw Ayden and his group of friends but then I saw a girl that wasn't there earlier. We made eyes contact she is beautiful.....my wolf says, "Mate!" I was excited......I finally found my mate. I smiled at her, and she was about to smile when she gave me a dirty look then turned away and started kissing Joshua. I couldn't believe it I know she saw me but she acting like we didn't make eye contact. Then the pain kick in............it felt like someone was sticking needles in my heart, then I couldn't breathe I felt short of breath. I lean against my uncle, "Jayden what's wrong?" my uncle asked.
