When Weasel is offered a place in the reborn BloodClan by Alabaster and Violet, he is skeptical, like he always is. But after he is given one week to decide whether he wants to join, and he develops a bond with Violet's two kits, Cloud and Ice, he leaves all instincts behind, and joins BloodClan. He starts to regret his decision, though, but Slice won't let him, Violet, and her kits leave.

"Weasel, no. After you've joined, you can't leave," Slice's intimidating voice rang in Weasel's ears. He had seen enough of the abusive mateship, death, and banishing. "Slice, I've made my decision! I'm going to leave with Violet and her kits, and you aren't going to stop me!" Weasel arched his back, his claws sliding out. Suddenly, Slice started growling, his teeth bared in a vicious scowl.

"It's either you stay, or you die."
