Jeremiah wants to choose his path, but in New Andover, gender decides every role until an otherworldly visitor arrives. Survivalist compounds dot the landscape of an Earth ravaged by nuclear winter. New Andover thrives on threats and conditioning, a way of life only challenged by the visitor.

Jeremiah wants to be an enforcer, like the other boys. Except, he is assigned the role of archiver. The arrival of the star-bound stranger forces him to reexamine everything he thought he knew...Naltag is a commissioned explorer, and finds signs of life on a once barren planet known as Earth.

Although Naltag tries to remain impartial, Jeremiah is soon in need of rescuing, if only to save his little sister from a slave-like existence in the compound.

❖ Interstellar pilot and ex-adventurer Alex Gallegos must keep their team safe on an icy moon as sentient storms threaten to repeat the tragedy that ended their last career. ❖ Everyone in the United Inhabited Solar Systems (for some reason, UIS for short) knows to stay away from Mahaha. The icy moon is notorious for failed probe landings and research missions that end in tragedy: the only people to ever venture to its surface needed rescuing after just two weeks. When a prestigious research group decides they want a turn, they ask Alex Gallegos to lead the team. Perfectly qualified and haunted by their past, Alex accepts, hoping to make up for old mistakes and get just a little further from the earth they've left behind. Two months into the seven-month mission, the team is struggling with discontent, damaged equipment, and blizzards acting less and less like normal weather. As Mahaha moves out of range of help and the storms take on a more malicious character, Alex must face the one foe they could never have prepared for. Mahaha may or may not be alive. ❖❖❖ Complete. Wattys 2021 Shortlister. Standalone sequel (Rocks Can Dance) coming in 2023. Comments and critiques are both welcome and appreciated. I write characters from many different backgrounds, with many different experiences. If you share those traits and find that I have misrepresented anything, please let me know! Sekam, a shape-shifting demigoddess, and her guardian, the fourth creator good, wander a neon green toxic wasteland left in the wake of biowarfare while humankind cowers. To restore her true form, Sekam must find a cure. When she saves Dylan, a biohacker who knows more than they are letting on, her path becomes clear. Mars wants to see the world and experience everything it has to offer him, but he can't do that from inside a glass cage locked away in a laboratory. A failed attempt to create a better weapon with partial immunity to the green, Mars is a lab experiment whose cells are routinely reprogrammed to test new algorithms and their response to the green. And they're all supposed to come together and save the world. We'll see about that. Rough draft for NaNoWriMo.
