Silence. The loudest noise we've heard since it began happening. It's been Thirty-four days. Thirty-four long and cold days. Everyday a new one goes missing, not a single trace left behind that she was there at all. The nights became longer and the days seemed to fly. The only thing that kept us going was the sound of the family's that have lost their daughters, crying. They just disappear. Thirty-four days and we do not know how much longer. Fear drives us but we're in a car with no gas. Ambitious to get them back but terrified of what lies beyond the trees surrounding our small pack. I am next in line to gain the Alpha's title. First born daughter in seven hundred and fifty two years. I was strong, there was no doubt about it. Training since my first shift when I was just twelve. I've waited for this for the past twelve years but even the strongest can be weak. I am scared. For I do not know where these girls are going or if they will ever return. What has me the most scared? Wondering if I will be next.

The caged bird sings with a fearful trill, of things unknown, but longed for still. And her tune is heard on the distant hill, for the caged bird sings for freedom. His lips hovered just above mine, close enough to make my senses blur. All I could think about was feeling his lips on mine again. "You don't feel the mate bond?" he asked, his voice low. "Because it's telling me to tear these clothes off you and take you right here, make you cry out my name so the whole pack knows you're mine." Lucille Hardings had always felt trapped. Living by strict rules as the Alpha's daughter, destined to follow in his footsteps as a leader. And if that wasn't enough, she'd also been chosen as the fated mate of another Alpha. But he didn't approve of her youth and doubted she was fit to be his Luna. That rejection, that pain, made her leave. She ran away from everything she knew, her pack, and went rogue. No one would have ever guessed that the once quiet, uncertain girl would transform into a fierce, powerful rogue. This story combines two books into one: Heart of a Rogue and Heart of a Luna. There will be extensive edits planned for late 2024, so some story details may change. Expect to encounter wolves, intense bonds, and eventually a glimpse into a spirit world as well.
