I thought I knew how to handle any and every horrific situation I could think of. I was practically trained from birth, since my family has a background in law enforcement and no males can even come near without a clean background check.

Gaining a college degree was always a dream of mine, but now it's my reality. I am finally in my senior year of college. Although I have gained independence from my overbearing family because they are no longer around every corner and watching my every move, I feel someone else is now watching my every move.

So can someone please explain to me how I ended up with a stalker that seems to want to make my life difficult at every turn?

Will I ever be able to surpass him at his game version of chess?

Even worse, I think there is something deeper he is trying to reach and I'm a huge pawn in his world with no way to find an escape. What's even worse, my heart may be in the wrong place?
