The Enchanted Nations popped up one month after the new X Gear came out, a gaming system that allowed you to virtually experience a game almost as if you were actually living it. People who played the game discovered that the money they were earning online was automatically transferred to their bank accounts. In only the two months since it's been out, thousands of people quit their jobs and joined the game to make a living. Not only could players complete quests and achievements for money, they could also live borderline normal lives in villages, selling items and goods for players.

26 year old Elijah Harper is distraught when his young wife falls into a coma, unbeknownst to him trapped inside of the virtual reality world. Inside the game, Sophie Harper is known as Nyx, a dark elf trapped by a bug created by one of the creators of the game and forced to do her bidding. In a world of dragons, magic and endless riches, she's stuck behind castle walls and pushed to her limits of dark magic.

When Elijah is pressured to let his wife go, he explores his last option; to go into the game and find if his one and only theory is correct, that her mind is trapped inside the pixelated cage.

Will he find her in time? And if he does, will her mind be the same?
