Promise

Liliana Morgan is a detective with a tragic past. It is no secret that she joined the Force because of her sister. She couldn't protect her, so now she spends her days protecting the public as her own way of making it up to her sister. She never got the answers she wanted however, and now Lily is faced with the opportunity to possibly find out just what caused her sister's disappearance-but more importantly who. The catch is, that the answers lie in Jared Ôtell, an ex con with a mysterious past and beautiful blue eyes. He claims to know where her sister is, and Lily wonders why he has suddenly come into her life and questions his claims of wanting to help her find solace. Struggling with the hopes of finding her sister alive after so long as well as finding the answers she has desperately craved for years, Lily now finds herself on a journey with Jared. The problem is Jared is more than shady, and with a few questions himself that force Lily to confront her tragic past, she wonders if this was really the right choice; all while fighting the feelings of attraction she is beginning to feel towards Jared and his beautiful blue eyes.
