The Moon And Its Glory

Phillipa lives in a country called Ojia.
A place where everyone different lives. People of colour, members of the LGBTQ+ community, people with less money, basically anyone that is often ridiculed in society.
The other countries of the world are called the Starters. Where the wealthy, privileged people live.
One day, the Starters declare war on Ojia, and every man over 16 is to fight in the war. That includes Cass, Phillipa's closest friend since she can remember.
So, naturally, Pippa fakes being a boy, and is enlisted into the war.
Cass and Phillipa fight for their lives in the war of the century.

Once there was the fair maiden, Laurie,
She loved to look at the moon and it's glory,
She decided that the moon would make a good story,
So she started to write through the night 'till it was light,
Hoping her story would be alright,
But before she could share her story, she died,
With her family near her own death-bedside,
She told them her story,
about the moon and its glory,
hoping they would make fair Laurie's dream come true.
