    Shilpa Patel, an aspiring journalist, wants nothing more than to carve her own path in life. But it seems her parents are very determined to do otherwise, and before she knows it, she is engaged to Raj Mehta.
    
    It is not the worst of fates, she supposes. Except for one thing that could break everything apart, one secret that could make everything come crashing down.
    
    Shilpa realizes that she might be gay and in love with her classmate, Alisha, and the Raj may never appeal to her for the very same reason. 
    
    But which flag will she wave when her family learns of her secret and threatens to disown her: The flag of the LGBTQ+ community showing her pride, or her Indian flag showing her submission to the cultural norms that she wishes India would not stand by? Would it be possible for her to choose both?
