Hera was born to a unfertal old mother but not by the seed of her mothers husband but by the seed of the god of war, Ares, son of Hera and Zeus. Hera was named after Zeus' wife and her grandmother Hera. Her brother Leonidas was the king of sparta and raised her from the time she was born after her mother died in child birth and her mothers husband a few days after.
