Ember is just a child when she's thrown out of her pack by her own family, all because she didn't shift at the age of a werewolf. She's surviving in the forest with her fox, Emerald. Together they make it out alive but stumble into a unknown territory.

Keegan, he's the alpha of the red crescent moon pack. He's a fearless strong leader, his pack respects him. When a rouge stumbles onto his territory he of course is notified, he's expecting to go and have to take this rouge to the dungeon, or even kill it. Her wolf has to completely go dormant, because it's just causing her pain and she would died of she didn't. Alex thinks that she's dead, because he felt the connection between them break. He finds another girl to be his mate, and when Ashleigh is found, she is heartbroken. Not only was it her pack that made her suffer through all that because they sold her, but her mate had given up on her because her wolf had to go into dormancy. She falls into severe depression, and develops a form of PTSD, that was formed from the shock she had from her pack and mate's betrayal.
