Luna thought her life couldn't get any worse after her mother died. Even with the support from her two best friends, Jake and Asher, she felt lost and empty inside. She wanted so badly to move on with her life, to find purpose. But she couldn't. She thought of her mother, how she died. She died doing what she loved. Saving lives. Her mother, Iris, was one of the best agents at STAR Agency (Special Tactics And Rescue Agency). She and her squad were on a mission to search and rescue a well-known family from a man who was holding them hostage. He demanded a ransom of $800,000, and then to get off with no charge. But Iris refused to give him what he wanted. She led her squad within the family's mansion and had a plan to save the family. But the man was a step ahead, and knew that her squad was coming. The man began killing the family members, one by one. And last was the baby. He pointed his knife towards the child, preparing to stab it, but Iris barged in the room at the very last second and threw a dagger at the man. She ran to the baby and held it close to her heart. "You're safe now," is the last thing she said. She handed the baby to her teammate so she could check if the man was dead, and just as she did, the man had staggered up and stabbed her in the back through her heart. And she died, then and there. Luna realized that her mom died a hero. And that's exactly what Luna wished to be. She wished to save lives, to help others, to be kind. To make an impact on others lives. To protect. To spend her life doing something important. To live. To be just like her mother. A hero.
