Sir Gregory C. Holmes, the father to both Mycroft and Sherlock Holmes, has a proposition for his eldest son. While the Holmes estate is still prospering, Sir Holmes believes that a marriage will strengthen the family financially but also promise a future for Holmes name. Sherlock as always is unreachable and unsuitable for the institution of marriage, but Mycroft, on the other hand, has all the qualifications necessary for such an ordeal. In Victorian London, Mycroft and his bride, Anne Chapman, will struggle to create a marriage built out of business rather than love. But perhaps, love becomes their business.
