Voici une reconstitution d'une partie d'un texte écrit par un soldat non identifié du 22e régiment de la Première Guerre Mondiale, de sa participation à la Bataille de Flers-Courcelette, déroulé en septembre 1916.
Ce mémo a été mal entretenu et conservé dans les mauvaises conditions pendant des décennies.

Wildflowers In The Ruins: A 1917 Story
Completed fan fiction for the film 1917: This is the very first fan fiction I've ever attempted. Please be kind. I hope you like it. It features all of the main characters, several of the others, plus many I've created. Northern France, April 1917: A Voluntary Aid Detachment nurse is sent on an urgent mission across no-man's land accompanying two Lance Corporals, but she will have her own mission to fullfil also and be tested in ways she never deemed possible. Each chapter is named after a flower, relevant to the story, and that you can encounter growing in the wild, either in Britain or Northern France, with the exception of roses and Sweet William's. This story does contain spoilers from the film so it's really worth watching it first. Chapers two (from around halfway through) to eight I've taken directly from the film. The script is copyrighted to Sam Mendes and Krysty Wilson-Cairns, although I've worked from what's spoken in the film rather than off the script. I've taken inspiration from other films, television and books (fiction and non-fiction) set in the First World War too such as Forgotten Voices, The Roses Of No-Man's Land, War Horse, The Crimson Field, Private Peaceful, They Shall Not Grow Old, Testament Of Youth, Journey's End and Birdsong. I've also taken inspiration from the beautiful book A Song For Will which is based on the true story of the gardeners and labourers from the Heligan Estate in Cornwall. Every character who isn't featured in the film 1917 is fictitious and the names are entirely made-up, although every female character's Christian name in my story belongs to a female relative of mine who was alive at the time of the First World War, for example my four Great-grandmothers were Mary-Jane, Lavinia, Ada and Alice. Chance Encounter
1924 The world stood still as troops from the Commune of Francois crossed the border into Immerheim. Years of animosity finally culminated into war. Yet years later, the Commune has been pushed back and both countries troops are tired. °°°°° (Y/N) enlisted early in the war, has seen it all, from the horrific battles and suffering endured by both sides. Like many others, he's grown tired of the war. It's become meaningless as victory grows further away as the days go by. Unluckily for him, he was captured days before the end. During his captivity, he is treated by an automaton. Despite being on opposing sides, they've develop a mutual understanding. In the year 2647 a war with held. There was only ten tribes that made up the world. Out of the 10 tribes, 10 sets of twins were chosen from each of the 10 tribes. When you were chosen you were given 1 of 10 different symbols that would determine your fighting skill, and what weapon you use. The 10 different categories are, sniper, bomber, Archer, swordsman, artist, hypnotist, flamethrower, baton, acro, and knife thrower. all of them have pros and cons. At the age of 13 you and your twin well be separated and spread randomly throughout the world. One twin will lose all memory of the other twin, well as for the other twin still has memory of the other twin. The twins that remembers the other twin has to find the other twin before the other players in the war find your twin and kills them. It's a race against time and only 10 out of the 100 pairs of twins will survive. (so 20 out of 200 kids) WHO WILL WIN?Concluida

It started as an attempt by the Holy Roman Emperor to suppress the Protestants of Bohemia (modern Czech Republic) and metastasized into a war involving most of the countries of continental Europe, who fought, massacred, sacked and plundered back and forth across Germany for decades. In addition to the various German and Austrian states, there were Spaniards and Italians, Swedes and Danes, Poles, Finns and Croats. At a late stage the French became involved, surprisingly on the Protestant side. In addition, there were hired troops of mercenaries from the British Isles. Robert Monro was an officer in such a Scottish regiment, which served first the King of Denmark and afterwards the great King of Sweden Gustavus Adolphus. Readers of Scott's A Legend of Montrose will have come across references to Monro in Scott's Introduction to that novel; and the character of the swashbuckling cavalier Dugald Dalgetty is based on Monro. The Swedish historian Magnus Bengtsson wrote a long account of Monro in his collection A Walk to an Ant Hill and other essays (Norstedt and Soners, Stockholm, 1950) Monro's service ran from 1626 to 1634, when he was sent back to Scotland to recruit more soldiers. While he was there, the Swedes and their allies suffered a crushing defeat at the Battle of Nördlingen. His occupation gone, he turned to the pen, and wrote this account of his adventures which was published in 1637. Before 1936, I was alone. Russia was in a state of chaos after the Bolshevik takeover at Petrograd. Vladimir Lenin was gaining power at a frightening rate. Outside of Russia, the world was at war with itself. After Archduke Ferdinand's assassination, Europe was plunged into turmoil. Everything was going insane. I wasn't alone in the familial sense. Although my mother died giving birth to my younger sister, Natalia, and my father was one of the ones killed in Petrograd, I still had my sisters. Katyushka was my older sister. She treated me with a maternal gentleness; in fact, it was she who made my scarf, which I still wear to this day. Natalia was my younger sister. She was very attached to me, and some might've called it obsessive, but I didn't blame her. When she was three, I had fallen very ill, and I almost didn't make it. Katyushka soon got over my near death, but since Natalia was so young, her mind never fully recovered. But even with my sisters, I was still alone. I was always trying to find some way for us to scrape by, which led me to spend most of my waking hours away from home. I had very few friends, and the friendships I had were shaky, at best.
