You prepare for calamity and hope it never comes, but sometimes it does.  An ordinary day at school becomes the start of a whole new way of life.  A group of kids has to find their way home across a landscape that most of us never experience.  Experience an overnight journey of challenges, fears, conflict and hope for the dawn.  A short story with a mild apocalyptic theme and a more-less happy ending.

I like to try and focus on the descriptions to bring you, the reader, into the tiny shoes of Amelia as much as I can.
